Sea Dawgs Season Underway

Wilmington Sea Dawgs News Release


Wilmington, NC --- The Wilmington Sea Dawgs kicked off its inaugural basketball season with an exciting match up against the Maryland Nighthawks Monday night.

With a crowd of over 1,200 fans, the Sea Dawgs held the lead for most of the game. Despite a tremendous effort, the Sea Dawgs lost 110-107.

"We were thrilled with the number of fans who came out for our first game," said Head Coach Kevin Whitted. "We plan to work hard over the next week to ensure a better outcome for home game #2."

The Sea Dawgs will host the Tennessee Mud Frogs in back-to-back night match ups this Tuesday (8:05 p.m. tip off) and Wednesday (7:05 p.m. tip-off). They will have a chance to even the score with the Maryland Nighthawks on Sunday, November 26th at 4:05 p.m.
