Arkansas Aeros News Release
DALLAS - Despite placing eight players in double figures, the Arkansas Aeros were outscored 73-53 in the second half Thursday night and fell 142-122 to the Texas Tycoons.
It was the first loss of the year for the Aeros (4-1) who opened the season with four straight wins at home. The win moved the Tycoons to 3-1 on the young season.
The Aeros, who led 40-32 after the opening quarter, found themselves in a 69-all tie at halftime.
Daryan Selvy led the Aeros with 28 points, while Curtis Haywood added 20 behind a 10 of 13 effort from the field.
The Tycoons had four players with 20-plus points with Jerome Rogers leading the way with 27. Josh Gonner and Brandon Lee each netted 23 for the winners.
The Aeros stay on the road Friday when they travel to Waco to meet the Wranglers. The Aeros defeated Waco 146-114 back on Nov. 4. Arkansas returns home to the All-Star Sports Arena in Springdale for a 4:05 p.m. meeting Sunday with the Mississippi Miracles.
