
Scrappers suffer second straight walk off loss

Batavia, NY- A classic pitcher's duel at Dwyer Stadium on Saturday turned into another heartbreaker for the Scrappers. A 1-1 tie was broken in the bottom of the 10th when Connor Burke chopped a single over a drawn in infield to plate the winning.
Luis Lugo followed up his impressive opening day win with another strong outing. He worked 5 innings, allowing 3 hits. He walked 1 and struck out 1. Lugo allowed 1 unearned run.
The Bullpen continued to impress as well. Briely Puerta and Trevor Frank combined to work 4 innings while allowing only 2 hits and striking out 5 while walking none. Ben Heller worked the 10th inning and allowed 2 hits and the 1 run.
The only offensive highlight for the Scrappers came in the top of the 6th inning with 1 out, Juan Romero blasted his first homerun of the season. The homer tied the game at 1.
