Batavia, Ny-One night after the hot topic in Eastwood Field surrounded the scoreless streak for the Scrappers; the offense decided they had heard enough. After a walk off win, the Scrappers left no doubt in a 14-2 thumping of the Muckdogs in Bativia.

Claudio Bautista got the offense going right away. He singled to start the game. Stole second base, and scored on Robel Garcia's double. The Muckdogs tied the game in bottom of the first when Yefri Perez doubled and then came around to score on Austin Dean's RBI ground out.

The Scrappers took the lead for good in the top of the 2nd inning. Nellie Rodriguez walked and moved to third on Brian Ruiz's double. A wild pitch by Batavia starter, Justin Jackson brought Rodriguez home for the lead. Baustista then followed with a sacrifice fly to score Ruiz.

The game was broken open in the top of the 5th inning. 13 Scrappers would come to the plate leading to an eight run inning. The inning was highlighted four consectutive walks to plate three runs. Bautistat, Garcia, Herrera and Nick Hamilton all added hits to put the game out of reach.

James Stokes picked up the win after pitching 1.1 in relief of starter Michael Goodnight who had to exit with an injury after 2.2 innings. The bullpen was nearly unhittable. Josh Nervis, Rafael Homblert, and Alexis Parades combined for five shutout innings to close out the game.
