Scott Valentine Signs with the Nashville Predators

Oshawa, ON - October 1st, 2011 - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced yesterday that the club has signed Oshawa Generals overage defenseman Scott Valentine to a three-year, entry level contract.
Valentine has spent the past three and a half seasons with the Generals playing in 151 games while recording 10 goals and 54 assists for 64 points, while being one of the premier defenders for the Team.
The Metcalfe, Ontario native has served as an Assistant Captain for the Generals the last three seasons and also was awarded the Red Tilson Community Service Award at the Generals Awards Ceremony last season for his tremendous efforts throughout Durham Region.
Valentine is currently participating at Milwaukee Admirals training camp, the Predators AHL affiliate, and is still eligible to return to the Generals this season.
