Scott Ford Returns to Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE - The Nashville Predators announced today that they have acquired defenseman Scott Ford from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for forward Jani Lajunen. The Predators have assigned Ford to the Milwaukee Admirals.

Ford served as the Admirals Captain last season, posting 11 points on four goals and seven assists in 75 games. He led the team with a +24 rating, becoming the first Milwaukee skater since 2003-04 to finish the season +20 or better.

In four seasons with the Ads Ford played in 279 games, which is fourth best in the team's history in the American Hockey League and needs to play in 16 games the rest of this year to supplant Kelsey Wilson as the team's all-time AHL games played leader. During his time with the Ads he recorded 11 goals and 25 assists for 36 points. His 465 penalty minutes during that span are third best in Admirals AHL history.

In 43 games games with Peoria this season Ford has six points (2g-4a) and 54 penalty minutes.

Lajunen has a goal and four assists in 40 games with the Admirals this season after posting 16 points (5g-11a) in 75 games with Milwaukee in 2011-12.

In addition, forward Patrick Cehlin and defenseman Taylor Aronson have been reassigned to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL and goaltender Zoltan Hetenyi has been loaned to the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL.

Cehlin has 20 points (6g-14a) in 45 games for the Admrials, while Aronson has a pair of assists in 12 games with Milwaukee and a goal and five assists in 21 games with the Cylcones.

Ford will join the Admirals as they hit the road for the next four games and don't return to the BMO Harris Bradley Center until Friday, March 1 when they host the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7:00 pm.
