LAST WEEK'S RESULTS
Tuesday, February 12: PENGUINS 1, Senators 5
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton piled up 98 penalty minutes, but it was Binghamton racking up the goals in a 5-1 win at Mohegan Sun Arena.
Shane Prince struck 5:29 into the match for the Senators and Derek Grant doubled their lead seconds after the Penguins had killed off a five-minute major power play. In the second period, Binghamton converted shorthanded (David Dziurzynski), even strength (Pat Cannone) and on the power play (Jack Downing over a span of 5:08 to build a 5-0 cushion.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton broke up the shutout bid at 3:35 of the third on the power play with Dominik Uher's first pro goal.
Friday, February 15: PENGUINS 0, Admirals 1
Brayden Irwin's first goal of the season was all Norfolk needed offensively to down Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday night.
The Admirals forward broke a scoreless tie at 3:17 into third, while Igor Bobkov turned aside 32 shots from the Penguins. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton owned a 32-12 shot advantage in the game.
Saturday, February 16: Penguins 5, SENATORS 2
The top line of Riley Holzapfel (3a), Chad Kolarik (1g-3a) and Trevor Smith (2g-1a) combined for 10 points to lead Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to a 5-2 win over the Senators in Binghamton.
Though Tyler Eckford's shorthanded goal 4:42 into the second knotted the game at one, Smith's power play goal with 4:31 remaining in the period put the Penguins ahead for good.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton pulled away with three goals in the third period, including Brian Gibbons' shorthanded marker at 4:36. Brad Thiessen made 22 saves for WBS.
Sunday, February 17: PENGUINS 0, Crunch 3
For the second time in three games, the Penguins were held scoreless as the Crunch skated to a 3-0 win at Mohegan Sun Arena.
After two periods without a goal, Kyle Wilson and Brett Connolly each scored 1:23 apart to break open the game. Wilson added his second of the game later in the same period. Riku Helenius recorded his fourth shutout of the year, making 23 saves.

Friday, February 22, 7:05 PM: Penguins at PHANTOMS (Wells Fargo Center) "" 102.3 the Mountain
This will be the first road game for the Penguins in their season series with the Phantoms. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton swept the home portion of the series, earning a 2-1 win on Jan. 12 and a 3-0 shutout victory on Feb. 2. The Penguins have an all-time record of 13-6-1-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) against Adirondack.
Saturday, February 23, 7:05 PM: PENGUINS vs. Whale "" MyNetworkTV, 102.3 the Mountain
The Whale have won five straight to go above .500 for the first time this season and now sit in second place in the Northeast Division with a record 25-21-4-2. Connecticut is second in the AHL with 10 shorthanded goals on the season. The Whale were victorious in their first meeting this season versus the Penguins, recording a 2-0 shutout on Jan. 5 at XL Center.
Sunday, February 24, 3:00 PM: Penguins at SOUND TIGERS "" 102.3 the Mountain
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton heads to Bridgeport for the fourth and final regular season meeting against the Sound Tigers. The Penguins own a 2-1-0-0 series lead after downing the Sound Tigers, 3-1, back on Nov. 16. Bridgeport (22-21-2-2) is in third place in the Northeast, six points behind the Whale.
