Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI--Join the Milwaukee Admirals in hosting comedian and notorious watermelon smasher Gallagher for a post-game show following the 7:30pm game versus Rockford on April 13 in the lone Milwaukee appearance of his Last Smash Farewell Tour.
"Gallagher is one of the most unique and creative comedic artists to ever grace a stage," said Admirals President Jon Greenberg. "To be able to bring him to Milwaukee one last time will a real treat."
Gallagher is a professional prop comedian. He began as a road manager for comedian Jim Stafford and soon after began performing himself finding the height of his fame during the 1980s. His signature routine is the "Sledge-O-Matic" where he smashes objects with a large wooden mallet.
Gallagher has seen a resurgence in his popularity lately after appearing in the popular Geico television commercials.
After 35 years of non-stop touring, America's favorite touring comedian is hanging up his Sledge-O-Matic...but not until after one last tour. Gallagher's Last Smash will be his way of saying "ËThank You' to his massive audience who has stood by and supported him throughout his career. From the early days of the Comedy Store and the Tonight Show, through all 14 Showtime specials, and his 3,000+ shows Gallagher has entertained literally milliions of people.
The Ads are offering limited on-ice passes for his performance at only $10. Included in the purchase of the exclusive pass is a protective bag to wear as a shield from the highly anticipated flying debris. The on-ice passes allow fans unique access to watch the entertainment from ice level directly in front of the stage. These on-ice passes will be on sale shortly.
