(Vancouver) The BC Lions and Saskatchewan Roughriders meet in the Scotiabank West Championship in four days and with a berth in the 2006 Grey Cup on the line, Lions fans are scooping up tickets at a brisk pace. With excitement building as game day nears, the club announced Wednesday morning that ticket sales have exceeded the 40,000 mark.
"Lions fans are the league's best and I know we can count on their support as we take on a talented Saskatchewan club this Sunday. With the current demand for tickets this strong, we encourage fans to purchase tickets in advance and avoid lineups at the gates," said Lions president and CEO, Bob Ackles.
The Lions host the Scotiabank West Championship at 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 12th at BC Place Stadium versus the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Call 604.280.4400 for tickets or purchase online at ticketmaster.ca. Fans can also purchase tickets for the game at 7-Eleven locations throughout the Lower Mainland for $49.98 per pair (plus applicable taxes).
