Toronto, ON (November 8, 2006) - The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today the Rogers CFL Players of the Week following the Scotiabank East and West Semi-Finals as selected by members of the Canadian football broadcasters.

Offensive Player of the Week

RB - Kenton Keith - Saskatchewan Roughriders

Saskatchewan Roughriders 30 @ Calgary Stampeders 21

Highlights / Key Stats:

Kenton Keith scored a pair of second-half touchdowns, including a 76-yarder, as the Saskatchewan Roughriders erased a 16-point deficit to defeat the Calgary Stampeders in the Scotiabank West Semi-Final. Keith completed the game with 16 carries for 141 yards and four receptions for 28 yards.

Defensive Player of the Week

DB - Eddie Davis - Saskatchewan Roughriders

Saskatchewan Roughriders 30 @ Calgary Stampeders 21

Highlights / Key Stats:

Eddie Davis intercepted a fourth quarter pass that led to the game winning field goal, putting the Roughriders ahead 23-21. Davis completed the game with nine tackles and a pass knockdown.

For the second consecutive week, Eric England has been selected as the Rogers CFL Lineman of the Week. England had seven tackles and a sack in Toronto's 31-27 win over Winnipeg in the Scotiabank East Semi-Final.

Special Teams Player of the Week

KR - Markus Howell - Calgary Stampeders

Saskatchewan Roughriders 30 @ Calgary Stampeders 21

Highlights / Key Stats:

Markus Howell electrified the crowd in the second quarter with a 57-yard punt return touchdown as the Stampeders took an 11-5 lead over the Roughriders. Howell continued his strong play on special teams throughout the remainder of the game, finishing the day with six punt returns for 125 yards and five kickoff returns for 141 yards (53 LG).
