LINCOLN, NE - Jimmy Schuldt scored a pair of goals to extend his streak to four games as the Omaha Lancers cruised to a 6-1 victory over the Lincoln Stars in front of 4,198 fans inside the Ice Box on Friday night.

On a faceoff after a couple of penalties were handed out towards the end of the period Omaha took the lead. As the puck dropped it went right to Jimmy Schuldt waiting at the top of the circle. Schuldt moved a couple steps towards the center of the high slot and fired a quick wrist shot that sailed just over goaltender Cam Hackett's pads on his blocker side for a 1-0 lead with 12.6 seconds left in the opening period. The goal extended Schuldt's point streak to four games.

In the second period Matt Meier gave the Lancers two-goal lead over midway through the frame. Brian Williams worked the puck down low behind the net of Cam Hackett. At the same time Matt Meier came to the bottom of his offensive zone left wing circle. Williams sent the pass out to Meier who one-timed it by Hackett on his blocker side for a 2-0 lead at 13:10 of the period.

Just 50 seconds later Omaha moved out to a 3-0 lead over the Stars. Anthony Angello with a great individual effort picked up his 19th goal of the year. Angello lost the puck on a spin-around shot attempt. He picked it back up at the top of the right wing circle and walked his way to the front of the net around Lincoln's defense. As he was tripped up, Angello back-handed the puck over the right shoulder of Hackett for a three-goal lead at 13:55 of the middle period.

Jimmy Schuldt scored another late goal in a period to increase Omaha's lead. After the penalty boxes were loaded up Schuldt took a pass and lifted the shot over the right shoulder of Cam Hackett for a 4-0 lead with only four seconds left in the period. It was Schuldt's second goal of the night and 13th of the year.

In the third period Omaha score both a power-play and short-handed goal courtesy of Nash Worden and Shane Gersich. At the 6:35 mark of the third Brendan Smith let a shot go from the right side that was deflected by Shane Gersich and into the net for his 27th of the year and 10th on the power-play for a 5-0 lead. Nash Worden picked up his short-handed goal at 8:38 of the third frame. Worden split the defense of Lincoln and took the puck in all alone, deking Cam Hackett and sliding the puck in on his back-hand for his third goal of the season to move Omaha out to a 6-0 lead.

Lincoln finally got on the board to break up the shutout as Sean MacTavish recorded his third goal of the year at 9:53 of the final period and the score on the night ended up in favor of Omaha, 6-1.

Kris Oldham stopped 18 of 18 shots before being ejected in the second period. Zach Driscoll replaced him and put aside six of seven shots in the victory.
