Schneider's 32 Saves, Rychel's Team-Leading Seventh Burn the Roadrunners 3-1

Stockton Heat News Release
STOCKTON, CALIF. - Nick Schneider backstopped the Heat to their third win in-a-row after Kerby Rychel records his team-leading seventh goal of the season in a 3-1 win over the Tucson Roadrunners on Friday at Stockton Arena. While the Roadrunners got on the board first, it'd be Anthony Peluso who'd fire a pass that deflected off rookie Matthew Phillips to tie the game up midway through the first period. The second period didn't have the same rhythm to it that the fast-moving first had due to seven minor penalties handed out to the teams, but neither power-play unit could break through as the teams remained tied up after 40 minutes of play. In the third the teams traded chances with both goalies keeping their team in the game, but it was just before the 15:00 mark in the third that a turnover resulted in Rychel's seventh goal of the season. Oliver Kylington scored his sixth of the year in the empty net to seal the win for the Heat.
The Heat head out on the road for a three-game set starting on Tuesday and Wednesday against the Tucson Roadrunners at 6:05 p.m. PST and then in San Diego on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Catch the games live on AHLTV or watch the games at Channel Brewing Co. in Downtown Stockton.
