CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers and Circle K are proud to present Hockey Night in Charlotte on Saturday, Feb. 9th as the team battles the Pensacola Ice Pilots.
As part of the event on Saturday, the first 1,500 fans ages 14 and under will receive a Circle K youth jersey. Also, the first 5,000 fans will receive a Circle K gift card upon entering the arena. Don't forget to take your Circle K gift card into a store near you to see how much hard cold cash you've won! "Skate in after the game and see if $1, $20, $50, $100 or $500 is crushing your pocket!" Prior to the game, the Checkers and the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas (CBCC) will hold the 4th Annual "Out for Blood" blood drive presented by Presbyterian Hospital and Lake Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge. Fans who donate blood will receive a free ticket to the Feb 9th game and a Checkers autographed "Out for Blood" t-shirt. Visit the blood drive from 1-4 p.m. on the Trade St. Plaza at Charlotte Bobcats Arena to donate blood and receive your free ticket to the game.

The Checkers began their 15th season of play as a member of the ECHL. The next home game takes place on Feb 7 against the South Carolina Stingrays. In the team's 14-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 10 times including three consecutive playoff appearances to date. The Checkers are in their third season of play at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting at just $175.
