The Saskatoon Blades are excited to announce the details on the annual First Nations & Métis Night, happening on Saturday, February 20th as the team plays host to the Brandon Wheat Kings at Credit Union Centre.
The evening will feature a host of activities centered on showcasing the First Nations and Métis culture in our community. Prior to the game and during the intermissions, a collection of cultural dancers will be performing along with a drum group. The featured performers that night have won numerous competitions around North America.
The Blades will also use the night to showcase the 2010 Saskatchewan First Nations Winter Games. The games take place April 5th-10th in Saskatoon and will feature upwards of 3500 athletes, coaches, and support staff from the 13 tribal councils across the province.
