Saskatchewan Roughrider Head Coach and Assistant General Manager Danny Barrett announced today non-import, free-agent receiver Corey Grant has re-signed with the club to a one-year plus an option contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Grant, a seven year CFL veteran, played in 11 games plus both playoff contests in 2004 for the Green and White. He finished with 18 catches for 293 yards during an injury-plagued regular season. However, the former Eastern Division Outstanding Rookie nominee in 1999, was stellar in last year's post-season, totaling six grabs for 109 yards and two touchdowns in the Western Semi-final and Final.

Barrett said the re-signing of Grant will help the Roughrider offence maintain continuity and give the Green and White another possession receiver to count on.

"When Corey is healthy, he has the ability to be one of the most dynamic receivers in the league," stated Barrett. "We expect him to make the tough catches and we're very pleased to have him back in the fold."

The 29-year old native of Stoney Creek, ON also acted as the Roughriders' backup punter to Paul McCallum last season.
