
Blue sign Woodson and Annett

WINNIPEG, MB - Linebacker Sean Woodson and centre Corey Annett signed today with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Woodson (Import, 6-1, 240, Jackson State '99, DOB: August 27, 1974 in Jackson, MS) and Annett (Non-Import, 6-3, 308, Eastern Michigan '01, DOB: July 2, 1979 in Fort Erie, ON)
Woodson, a 2001 All-Star joins the Big Blue after playing four seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He has played a total of 62 regular season games and three playoff games.
"We are excited to add a player like Sean to our current core of linebackers as we evaluated him highly and expect him to add to our depth," said Brendan Taman, General Manager. "Woodson brings with him experience and big play ability."
Annett dressed for all 18 regular season games last season and has played in a total of 54 regular season games.
"We are happy to have Annett, another returning Blue Bomber free agent, in a position we value," said Brendan Taman.

CFL YEARS - HAMILTON TIGER-CATS - 2003
Woodson had 60 tackles, three tackles for a loss, three quarterback sacks, one interception, and one fumble recovery in 14 games played. On special teams he had seven tackles and one blocked kick.
CFL YEARS - HAMILTON TIGER-CATS - 2002
Woodson played in all 18 regular season games where he had 67 tackles, three tackles for a loss, two fumble returns, and one interception. He also had eight special team tackles and two kick off returns for a total of 18 yards.
CFL YEARS - HAMILTON TIGER-CATS - 2001
Woodson had 70 tackles, four tackles for a loss, three interceptions for 110 return yards and one touchdown and one fumble recovery in 17 games. He also had eight special team tackles.
Woodson played in two playoff games for a total of four defensive tackles and two special team tackles. He was also a CFL All-Star in 2001.
CFL YEARS - HAMILTON TIGER-CATS - 2000
Woodson signed as a free agent with Hamilton. During his first season he had 46 tackles, one interception, six special team tackles in 13 regular season games.
COREY ANNETT BIO
THE CFL YEARS - 2004
Annett dressed for all 18 regular-season games. He joined Winnipeg in a trade with Randy Bowles from Toronto, Feb. 13, 2004.
THE CFL YEARS - 2003
Annett appeared in 18 regular-season games for Toronto in 2003. He missed the Argos two post-season games due to an injury.
THE CFL YEARS - 2002
He played in all 18 regular-season games for the Boatmen in 2002. He also appeared in the 2002 East Division Semifinal and the 2002 East Division Final.
THE COLLEGE YEARS - EASTERN MICHIGAN EAGLES
Annett played four years of college football for the Eastern Michigan University Eagles. A true-freshman when he first attended the school, Annett won varsity letters all four seasons with the Eagles.
He was the team's Most Improved Offensive Lineman in 2001 after a standout campaign. He proved his durability by posting 33 straight starts for the school. He saw action at both guard and centre during his college career.
