
Santa Cruz Warriors Drop Second Game to Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Santa Cruz Warriors fell to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 118-90 Saturday night, dropping their second game to the Mad Ants after Thursday's loss.
The Santa Cruz Warriors were led by Travis Leslie, who scored 17, and Taylor Griffin, who scored 13. Moe Baker added 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, while Cameron Jones scored 11 points off the bench.
Seven Mad Ants players scored in double-digits, including Tony Mitchell, who had a game-high 21 points. Miles Plumlee, on assignment from the Indiana Pacers, had a game-high 16 boards along with 10 points, logging the only double-double of the night. Ron Howard scored 12 points and dished out a game-high 7 assists.
The Mad Ants jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back, leading the entire way. The Mad Ants held the Warriors to just 39.3% shooting, while Fort Wayne shot 52.7% from the field. Like Thursday, the Mad Ants out-rebounded the Warriors (49-40). The Mad Ants' largest lead was 25, which came mid-way through the fourth quarter.
The Santa Cruz Warriors will now head to Reno to take part in the NBA D-League Showcase (http://on.nba.com/UyKWcr). The Warriors will play two games there, one against the Austin Toros on Tuesday, January 8 at 10:00 a.m. PST and the other against the Canton Charge on Thursday, January 10 at 12:45 p.m. PST.
