
Bighorns Defeat Energy on Jordan's Game-Winning Shot

RENO, NV - With 1.2 seconds left on the clock, Jerome Jordan put in the game-winning lay-up for the Reno Bighorns (5-8) who defeated the Iowa Energy (5-8) 115-113 at home on Saturday.
The game was tied at 113-113 with 7.1 seconds left. Bighorns' guard Walker Russell, Jr. missed a jump shot, but Jordan was right there to put back the go-ahead shot in front of the fans on their feet at the Reno Events Center.
The Bighorns led the Energy much of the game and had a 21 point lead with 4:17 left in the game. Iowa rallied back, hitting several three-point shots and capitalizing on Bighorns' turnovers. New Orleans Hornets' assignee, Darius Miller, nailed a three-point shot with 12.3 seconds left in the game to tie it.
The Bighorns had three players with double-doubles, Jordan (22 points and 12 rebounds), Antoine Wright (20 points and 13 rebounds), and Russell (12 points and 11 assists). Three other players recorded double-digit points, Utah Jazz assignee Kevin Murphy (24), Marcus Landry (15), and Dar Tucker (19).
The Energy were led by Chris Wright's 20 points. Morris Almond and Quincy Miller had 18 points apiece.
The Bighorns return to action Monday night as part of the NBA D-League Showcase against the Springfield Armor at 7 p.m. Games will be played all day, Monday - Thursday, starting at 10 a.m. at the Reno Events Center.
