LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced today that defenseman James Sanford has been recalled by the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.
The 5'9", 195 pound native of Alma, New Brunswick has played in 8 games so far this season in Long Beach, registering 4 assists and 12 penalty minutes. Last season he played in 31 games for Hamilton, tallying 2 goals, 8 assists and 20 penalty minutes while also playing 24 games with Peoria.
The Ice Dogs play the Phoenix Roadrunners tomorrow night at America West Arena before returning home Saturday night to take on the Utah Grizzlies at 7pm.
