Savannah Sand Gnats News Release
The Savannah Sand Gnats have announced the dates for their youth baseball camps.
The Gnats will hold two three-day camps for children ages 7-13 on July 14 to 16 and August 12 to 14.
There will also be a special Adult/Child one-day camp for children aged 4-8.
All camps will be run by the Savannah Sand Gnats players and coaches.
The three-day camps, for kids ages 7 to 13, will help build baseball skills in a fun environment for every aspiring big leaguer.
Camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the Gnats will provide lunch.
Space is limited, and the deadline to sign up is July 1.
The three-day will cost of $100. In addition to the best baseball instruction in the Coastal Empire, campers will receive a special camp T-shirt, a ticket to each Sand Gnats game during the duration of camp, an autograph session with Sand Gnats players, and will participate in a special on-field awards ceremony on the final day of camp.
Campers who sign up for both three-day sessions will save $25. That's six days of camp for $175!
The Gnats will introduce a special Adult/Child one-day camp on Sunday, August 15.
Adults (ages 18 and up) will have a chance to learn with their children (ages 4 to 8).
The camp will provide a fun introduction to the game and will teach drills that can be taken home to provide baseball development and hours of family bonding time.
The Adult/Child camp on August 15 will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be $50 for each pair, with a limit of 100 participants.
Campers will receive a t-shirt, a ticket to evening's Sand Gnats game against the Kannapolis Intimidators, and will be recognized in a special on-field ceremony prior to the game.
"Sand Gnats Baseball Camps provide a great opportunity for kids to have fun and improve their baseball skills with the best ballplayers around, the Savannah Sand Gnats" Sand Gnats President John Katz said.
Discounted general admission tickets to the Sand Gnats games on the days of the camps will be available for the family of campers.
Sand Gnats Kids Club members will receive a 10 percent discount on all camps.
