Toledo Mud Hens News Release
The 2016 Home Plate event on Sunday, July 17 will feature Sanctus Real live at the Hensville Park stage for a special pregame concert. The event will once again feature players and coaches from both teams during a special Q&A session led by team chaplain, Dave Regnier.
Sanctus Real formed in 1996 and has since recorded 7 albums and most recently released 'The Best of Sanctus Real' consisting of 15 radio singles. The band has become best known for their ability to combine unique musical stylings with straight from the heart lyrics. Grammy nominations, Dove Awards, and multiple #1 singles help convey the impact Sanctus Real's music has made over the years.
Approaching the 20 year mark as a band, Sanctus Real announced a new lead singer in January of 2016. Dustin Lolli steps into the role formerly held by Matt Hammitt after his recent departure. The band looks forward to continuing to write, record, and tour in the tradition of their name-sake which is to be transparent and honest about their faith.
This Is Love, a three song EP released on February 5, 2016 marks the first self-produced project for the band since their early indie years.
Home Plate begins at 3:30 p.m. live from the Hensville Park stage with a Q & A session with Mud Hens players and team chaplain. The Sanctus Real concert begins at 4:15 p.m.
Home Plate tickets are available now! General Admission tickets ($20)
VIP "Meet the Band" tickets include reservations in The Armory in the new Fleetwood Building, an all-you-can-eat buffet, and an opportunity to meet Sanctus Real after the concert ($32)
