Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release


The IronPigs (21-18) play Game 1 of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Park against the fourth-place Toledo Mud Hens (17-21), who the Pigs just swept in three games at Fifth Third Field from May 13-15... With a 3-0 shutout of Syracuse yesterday, the Pigs took the series, 3-1, and have improved to 1-1 on this seven-game homestand. In addition, the Pigs have now won six of their last seven affairs... The Mud Hens -- Detroit's top affiliate -- lost 7-5 yesterday in Buffalo to drop a three-game series at Coca-Cola Field, 2-1... The Hens have now fallen in five of their last six contests after an 8-4 stretch to start May. They went just 8-12 in April... With a win, the Pigs will set a new high-water mark of four games above .500. The last time LHV was on 5/29/14 (29-25).

RHP David Buchanan (2-2, 4.42) will start for LHV against RHP Buck Farmer (0-2, 5.25).

Tonight is a Bacon & Eggs Night and features a Spatula Giveaway... First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
