THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Saturday, October 12 at Chicago Wolves Allstate Arena, 7:00 p.m.

The Rampage hit the road for the first time this season with a weekend trip to the Windy City for a pair of tilts against Chicago on Saturday and Sunday. San Antonio opened the 2013-14 season on Friday at AT&T Center with a 2-1 loss to the Wolves, despite outshooting the visitors, 42 -23. Defenseman Colby Robak tallied the first goal of the season for the Rampage in the defeat.

Sunday, October 13 at Chicago Wolves Allstate Arena, 3:00 p.m.

The Rampage continue their lone road trip to the Windy City on Sunday afternoon with their third meeting in the first two weeks of the season against the Wolves. Both Chicago and San Antonio enter the contest with 1-1-0-0 records after the Wolves dropped a 4-1 decision to Texas on Saturday following their Friday night tilt against the Rampage. Satur- day's contest will mark Chicago's 2013-14 Home Opener in the club's 20th anniversary season in the AHL.

COLLEGE NIGHT - Friday, Oct. 18

The Rampage will host their second-annual College Night on Friday, Oct. 18 when the club takes on the Texas Stars at AT&T Center at 7:30 p.m. Fans who wear college gear to the game will receive 50% off their ticket at the AT&T Center Box Office. The special offer is only available in person on the day of the game. College Night also falls on a KZEP / Bud Light Dollar Drink Night at AT&T Center where fans can enjoy $1 draft beer and $1 fountain soda for every Friday home Rampage game.

FIRING SQUAD: The Rampage set a franchise record on Saturday night by recording 56 shots on goal, breaking the previous record of 55 shots from April 11, 2010. Saturday's 31 shot differential (56-25) also marked the largest in team history. Through two games, the Rampage lead the league with an average of 49 shots on goal per game.

SHOOTING GALLERY: The combined 98 shots in the team's first two games marks the first time since the 2010-11 campaign that the club has recorded 40-plus shots in back-to- back contests (Dec. 27-31, 2010). Defenseman Alex Petrovic is tied for the league lead with 13 shots on goal, while forward Quinton Howden is second in the league with 12 shots.

SPECIAL TEAMS: San Antonio has cashed in on the power play in each of its first two games, going 1-for-7 in Friday's loss to Chicago and 1-for-4 in Saturday's victory over Rockford. The Rampage also sport a perfect penalty kill through Opening Weekend, hold- ing opponents scoreless in seven opportunities.

DEFENSE: The Rampage defense and goaltending has been stellar to start the 2013-14 season. San Antonio surrendered only three goals during Opening Weekend, which is tops among AHL teams who have played two games.

ICE CHIPS: Jon Matsumoto-Center

Jon Matsumoto tallied a pair of goal to help propel the Rampage to their first victory of the 2013-14 season on Saturday with a 3-1 win over the Rockford IceHogs. Matsumoto returned to the Florida Panthers organiza- tion this summer after playing an instrumental part in helping San Anto- nio reach the playoffs during the 2011-12 season. The eight-year veteran of the AHL had 26 points (10 goals,16 assists) in 36 games for the Ram- page two seasons ago and recorded 13 points in 10 playoff games for the club. Matsumoto spent the majority of last season with the Worcester Sharks and recorded 32 points (14 goals, 18 assists) in 60 games.
