
Anaheim Assigns Forward Peter Holland to Norfolk

ANAHEIM, Calif . - The Anaheim Ducks announced Monday that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has assigned forward Peter Holland to the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Holland, 22, returns to Norfolk after logging two assists in three preseason games with Anaheim. The 6-2, 185-pound forward made Anaheim's season opening roster, but did not make an appearance for the Ducks in the first three games of the season.
Last season, Holland appeared in 21 games for Anaheim posting five points (3g, 2a) and a +4 rating. In addition, Holland also played 45 games for Norfolk last season, totaling 39 points (19g, 20a) and 68 penalty minutes. He was selected to the 2013 AHL Eastern Conference All-Star team but did not play in the game due to his recall to Anaheim.
Holland posted 60 points (23g, 37a) in 71 regular season appearances with the Syracuse Crunch during the 2011-12 season. The Caledon, Ontario native is a first round (15th overall) draft selection of Anaheim in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
The Admirals' home opener takes place this Friday against the Binghamton Senators. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
