
San Antonio FC Continues Unbeaten Streak at Home with 0-0 Draw vs. Orange County Sc

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC (3-5-2) tied Orange County SC (3-3-4) 0-0 at Toyota Field on Saturday night, extending the Alamo City club's unbeaten streak at home to four matches while earning their third clean sheet of the season.
"Our guys showed a lot of heart tonight," SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell said. "We wanted to make sure we preserved the clean sheet and that we created a handful of good opportunities to score. All in all we're proud of the effort from our players tonight, and getting a clean sheet is important at this stage."
SAFC goalkeeper Matthew Cardone recorded three saves and four claims on the night en route to his third shutout of the season, while defender Eby Ackon led the back line with five tackles, three clearances and eight possessions gained.
SAFC midfielder Cristian Parano earned SWBC Man of the Match honors on the night after recording two shots, two key passes, one shot on target, and recording nine successful dribbles. Teammates Brian Gomez and Billy Forbes led the attack with three shots a piece, while midfielder Jack Barmby tallied four key passes.
The match marked the first of three in the span of eight days for the Alamo City club. SAFC will return to action on Tuesday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. as the club opens its 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup run against Laredo Heat SC at Toyota Field.
