Samuel Piette Selected by the Canada National Team

MONTREAL - Midfielder Samuel Piette has been selected by the Canadian national team to take part in the first two Concacaf Nations League A games, both against Cuba, on September 7 in Toronto, and on September 10 in George Town, in the Cayman Islands.

Piette, 24, has recorded four assists in 43 games, including 29 starts, with the Canadian national team. He made his senior debut with the Reds at the age of 17, on June 3, 2012, against the United States. He has appeared in the last four Concacaf Gold Cup tournaments, in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019, while also appearing in several 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He also represented Canada at the U17, U20 and U23 levels and played in the 2011 FIFA U17 World Cup in Mexico.
