
Nick Lima and Jackson Yueill Called to U.S. Men's National Team

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes Homegrown defender Nick Lima and midfielder Jackson Yueill have been called to United States Men's National Team to compete in pair of international friendly matches against Mexico and Uruguay from Sept. 2-10.
The USMNT will face rivals Mexico on September 6 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey and Uruguay on Sept. 10 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Mo.
Lima, 24, signed for the Earthquakes as a Homegrown Player from Cal ahead of the 2017 MLS season. Lima has recorded a game-winning goal and two assists in 20 appearances this season and has been named to the MLS Team of the Week on three occasions. Since turning pro, the defender has produced five goals and five assists in 76 appearances for the Quakes. Lima has made seven prior appearances for the USMNT, including three starts in the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup en route to the tournament final.
Yueill, 22, was selected by the Earthquakes with the sixth overall pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft after two years at UCLA. He has already set career-highs in appearances (26), starts (23), minutes played (2,128) and goals scored (2) in 2019. Yueill made his USMNT debut earlier this year, starting and playing 59 minutes in a friendly against Jamaica on June 6.
