Saltdogs and RailCats Rained out on Saturday, Doubleheader on Sunday

LINCOLN, NE - The Lincoln Saltdogs and Gary SouthShore RailCats game scheduled for Saturday night is postponed due to rain. The teams will play two seven-inning games on Sunday starting at 1:05 PM.

Tickets for Saturday's game can be used for admission to either game on Sunday. The tickets can be exchanged at the Haymarket Park Box Office for a similar ticket to any other 2018 home game.

Jimmy Buffett tribute band Tom Watt and the Fruitcakes will play a show before Sunday's game to make up for the cancellation of their postgame show on Saturday. Gates open at noon on Sunday.

The Saltdogs (23-17) beat the RailCats (21-18) 8-2 in the series opener.

This is third postponed game of the season for the Saltdogs. The Saltdogs and St. Paul Saints were postponed on June 19th and played a doubleheader the following day. The Saltdogs and Winnipeg Goldeyes were postponed in Canada on May 30th and played a doubleheader the next day. The Saltdogs are 3-1 in doubleheader games this season. The Saltdogs also experienced a rain-shortened game in Sioux Falls on June 1st. The game was called in the 7th inning and the Saltdogs lost 10-7.

First pitch on Sunday is at 1:05 PM with coverage beginning at 12:35 PM on ESPN 101.5 FM 1480 AM and Saltdogs.com/stream.
