Coming Up This Week â The Saints play 4 games is 6 days this week with road games at Colorado on Wednesday, at New Mexico on Friday and Lubbock on Saturday â and a home game against Odessa on Sunday.
Upcoming Promotions â Santa Claus will be at the game on Sunday and available for pictures and last minute Christmas wishes. There will be Skate with Santa after the game and then a Post-Game Party with the players at Logan's Roadhouse.
Week In Review â The Saints went 0-3-1 this week with home losses to Colorado and Odessa, a road loss to Amarillo and a home overtime loss to Fort Worth.
Dec. 9th / Colorado 3 - San Angelo 2 / In an evenly played game, Colorado held off a furious Saints rally late in the game and the Saints had the apparent tying goal waived off at the buzzer. The Saints out-shot the Eagles 33-26 with Steve Roberts and Chris Minard tallying goals for the home team.
Dec 12th / San Angelo 2 - Amarillo 4 / In another evenly played game, the Gorillas took advantage of a couple of defensive mistakes to down the Saints in the first meeting of the season between the two teams. Tyler Knight scored both goals for the Saints, but Shawn Degagne was excellent in net for the Gorillas and picked up the win.
Dec 13th / Odessa 3 - San Angelo 2 / The Jacks put the Saints in an early hole with two goals in the first 3:41 of the game â then scored the game winner midway through the 3rd period after the Saints had rallied to tie the game. The Saints out-shot the Jacks 44-28, but could not solve goalie Mark Cairns. Trevor Weisgerber and John Jarram notched the Saints' goals on the night.
Dec 14th / Fort Worth 4 - San Angelo 3 (OT) / The Saints again fell behind early, but then controlled the game and eventually took a 3-2 lead late in the 2nd period. But, Jan Jas pushed home a rebound late in the 3rd to tie the game and the Brahmas scored on their first shot in overtime for the win.
Player Moves: Dusty Hunter remains on Injured Reserve. Andy Doktorchik has been activated from IR. Luke Earl has been waived and Scott Mahar was traded to Fort Worth for future considerations.
