Saints Seven Game Homestand Fit for the Walking Dead

ST. PAUL, MN (August 18, 2012) - If your bucket list includes a St. Paul Saints game then this homestand is perfect for you. The only question is will you show up to six games? Do I hear six games? I've got six games. How about all seven games? Anyone for all seven games? Sold to the man that looks like a zombie. If you're still not convinced then we've got a top 20 list of reasons to show up to a Saints game. Fireworks and a chance to win up to $77,777 are at the top of that list. It's a homestand the entire family will enjoy no matter your political affiliation.

The homestand begins with a three game series on Monday, August 20 at 7:05 p.m. as the Saints play their first ever series against the Rockland Boulders of the Can-Am League. Work on that stiff walk, put on tattered clothes, create the illusion of a deathly pallor and don't forget the blood. Lots of blood because it's the Third Annual Zombie Baseball Crawl presented by Savers. If you're not one of the walking dead then make sure to run because one bite by these creatures and you will live among them. Come as your favorite character from The Walking Dead show or as a zombie to compete in the Best Costume Contest and participate in the parade of zombies. No zombie crawl is complete without beer which is why it is BUZ'N Buck Beer Night with your favorite adult beverages costing just $1.

On Tuesday, August 21 at 7:05 p.m. find that treasure in the attic and bring it to the ballpark because it's Auction Night at Midway. Whether you're looking to sell that hidden gem or hoping to score something valuable the Saints Auction will have what you're looking for. We may not be Sotheby's, but we're a lot more fun and entertaining. Perhaps winning between $77-$77,777 on St. Croix Casino Big Money Tuesday will allow you to bid on every item your heart desires.

The final game of the series, against the Boulders, is on Wednesday, August 22 at 7:05 p.m. with the end of the world as we know it.at least according to the Mayans. It's the Mayan End of the World presented by Shock Top Beer. The Mayans predict the world will come to an end on December 21, 2012 and we're here to prepare you for that moment. This is your opportunity to do everything you always wanted to do, but never actually followed through on. This is your day to take risks you've only dreamt of taking. After an off day on August 23, the Saints begin a four game series with division rival, the Winnipeg Goldeyes, on Friday, August 24 at 7:05 p.m. We've packed as much fun into one night and it's ready to erupt. On the 1,933rd anniversary of the destruction of Pompeii, it's Mount Vesuvius Awareness Day. Wearing your favorite Roman toga, you can enjoy an all you can eat and drink bonanza from 6:30 p.m. until the end of the seventh inning for just $25. Once you've stuffed yourself silly, try to win between $77-$77,777 on Big Money Day presented by St. Croix Casino. The night caps off with an Xcel Energy Fireworks spectacular with loud noises, crazy colors and draw dropping pyrotechnics.

On Saturday, August 25 at 7:05 p.m. it's stupid human tricks, top 10 lists and Hello Deli Games as we celebrate the 20th year of David Letterman. From the home office in Wahoo, Nebraska the Top 10 reasons we are doing a David Letterman theme night.#10 It gives the Saints a reason to do a Top 10 list. As the Saints wrap up their 20th season, Letterman will begin his 20th year with the Late Show. Letterman has had animals on his show. The Saints are known for their pigs. Letterman makes people laugh. Saints fans have been laughing since day one. Letterman is able to get A-List celebrity guests. The Saints once had William Hung? Fans will have a chance to bid on a Saints Letterman jacket. School is just a couple of weeks away so study up for Success Saturdays presented by University of Wisconsin - River Falls.

If you were shipwrecked on a tropical island wouldn't you want the Saints there to entertain you? On Sunday, August 26 at 1:05 p.m. they can be because you don't have to be the Swiss Family Robinson to enjoy this family Sunday. Tree houses, animals and pirates galore will spice this day up as kids can run the bases and get autographs from the entire team following the Sunday ballgame.

The homestand concludes on Monday, August 27 at 7:05 p.m. as the eyes of the nation will be watching St. Paul on BobblectionT 2012. Make your vote count and choose between Barack Obama or Mitt Romney in one of the largest straw polls in the country. Gallup may ask a few hundred people their thoughts, but the Saints sample 1,500 with 750 Obama and 750 Romney bobbleheads to be given away. The first candidate to have all their bobbleheads selected will be declared the winner. The BobblectionT race got underway in Pittsfield with the Suns on August 6 with Obama winning comfortably 57%-43%. The Hickory Crawdads had the exact opposite outcome with Romney winning 57%-43%. The remaining contests take place with the Asheville (N.C.) Tourists (August 18), Lakewood (NJ) Blueclaws and Lincoln (NE) Saltdogs (August 21), Charleston (S.C.) Riverdogs, Fargo-Moorhead (ND) RedHawks and Hudson Valley (NY) Renegades (August 28) and Fort Myers (FL) Miracle (August 30). If politics drive you to drink then you're in luck because it is BUZ'N Buck dollar beer night.

This is the second to last homestand of the season, but before summer officially wraps up make sure coming to a Saints game is on your list of things to do. Whether you're an adult, child or zombie Midway Stadium has entertainment for everyone. Even David Letterman can come up with more than 10 reasons to make Midway Stadium the place to be with the food and fireworks being at the top.

Tickets for Saints home games are $5 for general admission, $8 for outfield reserved and $12 for infield reserved. Tickets purchased on the Day of the Game are an additional $1 per ticket. Children under the age of 14 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price. Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.
