St. Paul Saints News Release

LAREDO, TX (July 15, 2013) - The St. Paul Saints have now assured themselves of breaking one record this season: most double headers played in one season. For the second consecutive day in Texas the Saints were rained out, this time at Uni-Trade Stadium, as they were set to take on the Laredo Lemurs in game one of a three game series. Instead they will play their fifth double header of the season on Tuesday night beginning at 6:00 p.m. Both games are scheduled for seven innings with game two beginning approximately 30 minutes at the conclusion of game one. That will tie the 2000 record of five double headers in a season and then on Friday, July 19 they will break that record when they play a double header against the Grand Prairie AirHogs. The Saints will start RHP Mark Hamburger (3-2, 4.40) in game one and RHP Drew Gay (0-0, 0.00) in game two. The Lemurs will start LHP David Newmann (3-3, 3.61) in game one and RHP Jake Cowan (1-1, 3.72) in game two. Both games can be heard on Club 1220 AM.
