
Saginaw Spirit Fall to Erie Otters at Dow Event Center.

The Saginaw Spirit played their second game of the weekend at the Dow Event Center against the Erie Otters. Erie left with the win as the score read 7-1.
The Saginaw Spirit took the lead quickly in the first with an unassisted short-handed goal by Mitchell Stephens at the 2:08 mark putting the Spirit up 1-0 over the Otters. The Spirit couldn't hold off the Otters for long though. Erie's Taylor Raddysh got one past Saginaw's starting goaltender Jake Patterson with the help of Shaun BIlly to tie it up at the 14:08 mark. Erie struck once more to take the lead over the Spirit 2-1 with a goal at 16:53 by Dylan Strome. Assisting him were Trent Fox and Alex DeBrincat. Shots on goal in the first favored Erie 15-11.
Erie controlled the second period as they added 5 goals to their lead. The Otters Dylan Strome netted his second goal of the night 14 seconds into the period to place them over the Spirit 3-1. Once again on the assists for Erie were Trent Fox and Alex DeBrincat. Patrick Murphy, Joel Wigle, and Darren Raddysh each had one goal in the 2nd to push Erie's lead to 6-1. Shots on goal for the second were in Erie's favor 11-7.
After 60 minutes of play, Erie Otters Joel Wigle scored his second goal of the night to enhance their lead 7-1. Cory Genovese and Patrick Murphy were credited with the assists. The final score was Erie Otters 7 Saginaw Spirit 1. Final shots on goal read 32-24 in favor of Erie.

The Saginaw Spirit will finish out their weekend tomorrow against the Sarnia Sting at the RBC Centre with the puck dropping at 4:05pm. Saginaw will come home on Wednesday, November 26th to once again face Sarnia at the Dow Event Center with a start time of 7:11pm. Upon entrance to the game Wednesday there will be a team poster giveaway.
