August 17, 2011 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Saskatchewan - In commemoration of the tragic passing of Rick Rypien earlier this week, the Regina Pats have set up a memorial for Rick outside of their office for people who wish to sign a condolences book for the family. The Pats will present the book to the Rypien family at his funeral.
Rick played three seasons with the Pats and was the Captain for the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons. His leadership and hard work both on and off the ice made him one of the most popular Pat players in recent history.
The condolences book will be open to the public to sign the rest of this week from 9:00am to 5:00pm in front of the Pats office located in the west entrance of the Brandt Centre.
