Rylan Parenteau makes 31 saves in Prince Albert victory over Lethbridge

Prince Albert, SK - A power play goal by Reid Gardiner in the second period held up as the game winner as the Prince Albert Raiders beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-2 on Saturday night at the Art Hauser Centre.

Prince Albert got off to a hot start in the first period as they connected twice in the opening five minutes. The Hurricanes would press the Raiders the entire night with a physical game but could not overcome the early deficit.

Gardiner (1g-1a) and Jordan Tkatch (2a) each had two points to lead the Raiders. Brendan Guhle and Parker Kelly also collected goals.

The Hurricanes received tallies from Cory Millette and Ryley Lindgren.

Rylan Parenteau got the nod between the pipes for Prince Albert and turned away 31 of 33 attempts. Jayden Sittler made 27 saves on 30 shots for Lethbridge.

The Hurricanes outshot the Raiders 33-30. Prince Albert went 1-for-3 on the power play, while Lethbridge was 2-for-3.

Prince Albert improves to 36-21-7-1 on the season and jumps six points ahead of the Moose Jaw Warriors in the East Division standings. Lethbridge drops to 43-21-1-1.

The Raiders will hit the road next for two games against teams from the Central Division, beginning with the Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday, March 8. The team is back at the Art Hauser Centre on Saturday, March 12, when they host the Swift Current Broncos. Puck drop is 7:00 PM.
