Ryan Strome Named to AHL All-Star Team

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Jan. 9, 2013) - The American Hockey League announced today that forward Ryan Strome has been named to the AHL All-Star roster for the 2014 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Assante Wealth Management vs. Farjestad BK. Strome was one of 20 players selected to represent the American Hockey League in St. John's when they take on the team from the Swedish Hockey League.
Strome, 20, appeared in 23 games for the Sound Tigers this season and scored 33 points (nine goals, 24 assists). Before being recalled by the New York Islanders on Dec. 11, Strome was on a franchise-record nine-game point-scoring streak. From Nov. 22 to Dec. 7, the Mississauga, Ont., native recorded 17 points (five goals, 12 assists).
