Hoffman Named to All-Star Team

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The American Hockey League announced today the 20-player roster for the 2014 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Assante Wealth Management. Forward Mike Hoffman will be the lone Binghamton Senators representative at the event which takes place over two days, February 11 and 12, in St. John's, NL.

Hoffman currently holds the second highest point total in the AHL with 40 points (16 goals, 24 assists) over 33 games this season. The Kitchener, Ontario native was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the fifth round of the 2009 draft. He has appeared in 224 AHL games, all with Binghamton and has compiled 57 goals and 85 assists for 142 career regular season points. The 175-pound forward has also skated in seven career NHL contests with Ottawa, recording no points and four penalty minutes. This will be Hoffman's first trip to the All-Star Classic.

The 2014 All-Star Classic will start with the All-Star Skills Competition on February 11 and finish up the following day with the All-Star Game. For the first time in the 20 years of the AHL All-Star Classic, the AHL All-Star team will faceoff versus Färjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League.
