Ryan Radue Attempts to Silence Growlers

Green Bay Rockers News Release
Green Bay, Wis.- An up-and-down Bullfrogs club will look to capture their second win at home this season for a 6:05PM starting time that features post-game fireworks. Green Bay brings a 4-6 record into the contest against the 3-8 Growlers.
Starting for the Bullfrogs is the 6'4" right-hander, Ryan Radue, a graduate of Fox Valley Lutheran H.S. In Mequon last Saturday, he helped lead the Bullfrogs to a 12-7 victory after totaling five innings, two runs, three hits, and four strikeouts during a freezing game on the shores of Lake Michigan.
Radue, an Appleton native and pitcher at UConn, will be starting under better conditions tonight. The first pitch will see a bright and sunny start with temperatures in the mid-60s.
Although the Bullfrogs pitching has been effective, they had trouble with a Kalamazoo team in game one of the series last night. The Growlers entered with a team batting average at .190 and left with one at .201.
In front of a paid attendance of 1,123 fans, the Growlers defeated the Bullfrogs 5-2 and totaled 10 hits including a three-run sixth inning in which catcher Max Schuman (Utah) roped a two-run double down the right-field line. Seven of the nine Growlers batters entered with batting averages below .200.
Keegan Baar allowed just two runs in seven innings and picked up the victory, as Nathan Disch (Jacksonville) suffered the loss surrendering four runs in five and two-thirds innings pitched. Two of the runs on Disch's plate were given up after the Schuman double off of pitcher, Tommy Strunc (Creighton).
Although the Bullfrogs pitching was not at its best, they still enter game two with the Growlers sporting a staff ERA of 2.97, second in the South Division behind the Mallards (2.08 ERA). The Green Bay starters have lasted five innings or more in eight of ten contests.
Now the Bullfrogs will look for the offense to reach their pinnacle of achievement more consistently. In four games, the Bullfrogs have clubbed seven runs or more, yet have also plated two runs or less six times.
Ty Blankmeyer, a fast middle-infielder from St. John's joins a Skip Handelsman team intent on stealing, bunting, and errorless defense. He fits right in the mix. The Bullfrogs also add Desi Ammons (Catcher/Belmon) and Connor Ross (Outfield/Fort Hays State) to the team for the game with the Growlers
Fans can also now enjoy the new Four-Top Tables at Joannes. These premium seats are available for purchase of $30.00 per person and are located right behind home plate. The Four-Top special includes all-you-can-eat-and-drink ballpark food, soda, and beer until the fifth inning. It also includes wait service.
The menu features Festival Foods all-beef hot dogs, Oktoberfest Bratwurst, and Cranberry-Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwiches. The beer on tap for the Four-Top tickets features Goose Island IPA, Leinie's Summer Shandy, and craft selections such as the Door County's Polka King.
