Carolina Mudcats News Release
Zebulon, NC --- The Florida Marlins have made one roster move impacting their Double-A affiliate Carolina Mudcats prior to tonight's homestand finale against the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx.
RHP James Russ has been activated from the disabled list and will be in the Mudcats' bullpen tonight. Russ went on the DL July 24th with a left ankle sprain suffered during a start against the Diamond Jaxx in mid-July. Russ is 1-3 with a 3.69 ERA over 14 games, 13 starts.
The Mudcats had an open slot within their roster, and are at the league limit of 24 with Russ' addition.
Carolina opens a five-game series at Jacksonville on Wednesday night against the Suns at 7:05 PM ET.
