Rush to Present Check to Special Olympics
March 2, 2017 - ECHL (ECHL)
Rapid City Rush News Release
RAPID CITY, SD- The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Arizona Coyotes, will honor Rapid City Special Olympics Flame with a check presentation during the first intermission of Saturday night's matchup against the Idaho Steelheads.
The check being presented represents a total of $1,659 that was raised at the 7th Annual "Tip-A-Player" event, presented in conjunction with long-time Corporate Partner, Matt Benne and his Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant. Those earnings helped the Rush, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Rapid City Special Olympics Flame surpass $20,000 in total donations since the event began seven years ago. Jack Lynass, President of Black Hills Community Bank who also serves as Chair of Rapid City Special Olympics Flame and serves on the board for South Dakota Special Olympics, will receive the check at center ice during the first intermission of the game, which will be presented by the three Rush captains: Assistant Captains Riley Weselowski and Michael Young, and Captain Ryan Walters. Lynass will be surrounded by local Special Olympics athletes at center ice for the presentation.
Rush Nation, thank you so much for supporting our local athletes in the Special Olympics! To get your tickets for Saturday night to see the Special Olympians receive their check, call the Rush office at 716-7825.
