December 17, 2007 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Rapid City Rush News Release

Earlier today in a press conference at Scheel's Rapid City Rush management announced Scheel's All Sports as the Official Retail Outlet for Rapid City Rush merchandise.

Scheel's has a variety of Rush merchandise on display in the hockey department of their store. Authentic team jerseys, pucks, stocking caps and sweatshirts are among some of the items featured on the end-cap display. "We couldn't be more pleased with the opportunity available to Rush by having a retail store like Scheel's selling our merchandise," said General Manager Jason Rent. "The continued support we're receiving from Rapid City and local businesses is outstanding and we look forward to growing these relationships throughout the next year."

The current merchandise entails: authentic team jerseys, hats, t-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, practice jerseys, mini sticks, pucks, and long-sleeve shirts. Some items are available in youth sizes. Rush merchandise is also available at the Rush office located on the second floor of the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center above the ticket office.

Head Coach Joe Ferras just returned from his first scouting trip with over 6400 miles under his belt in just 15 days. He attended 13 games in 14 nights and previewed players in the American League, East Coast League, International Hockey League and the NHL. "There are several talented players in the East Coast and IHL that would be welcomed additions to the Rush lineup in our 2008 - 2009 season," Ferras said. Coach Ferras will head out on his second scouting trip mid-March - just in time to catch playoff games. Rush will begin play October 2008.

According to Rent season ticket sales are going strong and to assist with the influx of requests, they've added two sales people to their staff. To reserve your seats call 605-716-PUCK (7825). For all the latest news on Rapid City RUSH and the Central Hockey League visit www.RapidCityRush.com.
