Rush Announce 2011 Playoff Roster

Rapid City Rush News Release


(Rapid City, SD) - Today, the Rapid City Rush announced their final roster for the 2011 playoffs. The roster includes the initial 19-man squad as well as the inclusion of a pair of amateurs. The Rush face the eighth-seed Dayton Gems in the Turner Conference opening round beginning this weekend at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.

The 19-man roster is as follows:

Forwards:

Forward David Simoes was placed on the season-ending injured reserve.

At the same time, the Rush added a pair of amateur defenseman to the roster. Both recently completed their final season at Bemidji State University.

Ryan Adams appeared in 98 games over three years at Bemidji, totaling 13 points (2g, 11a) and 40 penalty minutes. A native of Deloraine, Manitoba, Adams began his college career at Wayne State University where he totaled seven points (1g, 6a) in 32 games in 2007-08.

The second amateur addition to the Rush squad in Dan MacIntyre, who hails from Fort Frances, Ontario. MacIntyre skated all four of his seasons with Bemidji, appearing in 74 games and collecting 12 points (1g, 11a) as well as 87 penalty minutes.

The Rush now square off against the Dayton Gems in games #1 & #2 of the Turner Conference Quarterfinals on Friday, April 1st and Saturday, April 2nd at 7:05pm at the RPCC. Tickets for the 2011 playoffs are available by calling the Rush office at 716-7825.
