Texas' Chad Woollard Wins ââ¬ËOakley Three Stars' Player of the Year

TEMPE, AZ (March 29, 2011) -The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced on Tuesday that Texas Brahmas forward Chad Woollard is the winner of the ¬ËOakley Three Stars' Player of the Year award thanks to topping all CHL players in points from being named one of the three stars of the game during the regular season.
In addition, Woollard along with Allen's Colton Yellow Horn and Wichita's Aaron Davis have been named the ¬ËOakley Three Stars' of the month for March/2011.

Woollard won the yearly award by earning 83 points during the regular season. The Durham, Ontario native earned first star honors a league-high 11 times during the season and was named second star six times and third star 10 times. The veteran forward led the CHL in goals with 46 to go along with 46 assists finishing fifth overall in points (92).
Finishing second and third in the year-long contest were Rapid City's Ryan Menei (72 points) and Missouri's Robby Nolan (68 points). Woollard, Menei and Nolan were all three finalists for the CHL's Most Valuable Player which was awarded on Monday to Colorado's Ri ley Nelson.
The monthly award for March was decided by one point as Woollard (the monthly winner in February and the third star in January), finished with 22 points (4 first stars-0 second stars-2 third stars) edging out Yellow Horn (1-5-1, 21 points) by one point and Davis (3-1-1, 19 points) by three points.
