Rapid City Rush News Release
(Rapid City, SD) - Prior to Friday's 'Law Enforcement Appreciation Night' game against the Fort Worth Brahmas, the Rapid City Rush announced the signing of forward Adam Chorneyko.
Chorneyko, 24, is entering his third professional season, having spent the majority of his career with the Colorado Eagles. His most impressive numbers came during the postseason where he led all CHL players in total points with 28 points (10G, 18A), and a plus-19 rating. During that playoff run, Chorneyko scored the triple-overtime game-winner in Game #4 of the Northern Conference Finals against his new team, the Rush.
A native of St. Albert, Alberta, Chorneyko has appeared in 85 professional games, racking up 26 goals and 38 assists for 64 points.
The 6-foot 200-pound forward will suit up tonight against the team he turned pro with in 2010, the Brahmas. Chorneyko appeared in 4 games that season after playing one year of college hockey for the University of Lethbridge.
