WINNING STREAK HALTED IN SERIES-OPENER: Despite grabbing a 5-0 lead in the first four innings on Monday night, Binghamton suffered a 7-5 loss to Akron. The RubberDucks sent 11 men to the plate in the fifth inning, scoring seven runs on six hits. Neither team collected a tally the rest of the way .

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Nabil Crismatt makes his fourth start of the season and first against Akron. Crismatt has tossed at least six innigns in three of his four outings, allowing just three earned runs in 22.1 innings. His lone road start resulted in his lone loss, April 14 at Portland.

AMAZING ALONSO: 1B Peter Alonso followed his Eastern League Player of the Week announcement by collecting two more hits and singling home the game's first run. His eight-game hitting streak is the longest of any Rumble Pony this season, while his .408 batting average tops the circuit.

SQUEAKY CLEAN NO MORE: The Rumble Ponies season-long four-game errorless streak ended on Monday night behind a pair of blunders, both committed by RF Jhoan Urena. Binghamton ranks 8th in fielding percentage and has made 21 errors.

FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING: Prior to Monday night's 7-5 loss to the RubberDucks, the Rumble Ponies had not lost a game when scoring first. They scored the first five runs in the series-opener, but are now 8-1 with the first tally.

STELLAR SERIES: Binghamton outscored Erie 25-7 in the three-game set at UPMC Park. The Ponies collected a season-high 12 hits on Saturday, only to do it again on Sunday in the extra-inning win. They also launched six home runs and garnered 60 total bases.

DONE WITH DINGERS: Binghamton's six-game home run streak also ended in Monday's loss. The Rumble Ponies had collected 11 home runs over the six-game stretch and lead the league with 22 longballs.

BLEEDING THE FIFTH: RHP Andrew Church needed just 45 pitches to dispose of the RubberDucks through Monday's first four innings. In the fifth, though, Akron's first six batters would reach and score, before Jhoan Urena's throwing error ultimately knocked Church from the game. Akron sent 11 men to the plate and scored seven runs - their only tallies of the night.

HITTING THE SKIDS: Despite collecting a season-best 12 hits for the third straight game, Binghamton's Monday loss was their first when out-hitting their opponent.

UP NEXT: The Rumble Ponies conclude their weeklong road trip and three-game series with the RubberDucks on Wednesday night. RHP Shao-Ching Chiang tosses for Akron, his second start against Binghamton this season. First pitch at Canal Park is slated for 6:35.
