Rumble Ponies Double-up on Senators, 4-2

The Harrisburg Senators snapped their scoreless inning streak, but it wasn't enough as they lost at Binghamton 4-2. The Rumble Ponies scored two runs in the eighth inning to break a 2-2 tie. The Senators scored first on a double by Robert Hassell III that scored JT Arruda from first base giving Harrisburg a 1-0 lead. Binghamton took a 2-1 lead on a two-run single in the fifth before the Sens tied the game in the sixth on a two-out RBI single off the bat of Frankie Tostado.

The Big Play

With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the fifth, Binghamton's JT Schwartz dumped a single into shallow center field that scored two runs giving Binghamton a 2-1 lead.

Filibusters

The Senators went 26 innings without scoring before Hassell drove in Arruda with two outs in the third inning... The Senators have dropped 11 of their past 14 games beginning with game one of their series in Richmond on August 15... With both Bowie and Richmond winning Wednesday night the Senators fall five games behind both teams.

The Senators and Binghamton Rumble Ponies play game three of their six-game series Thursday at 7:00 p.m. following the PSU coaches show. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Stations 96.5 FM, 95.3 FM, and 1400 AM.
