Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals were defeated 3-1 by the Spokane Chiefs on Wednesday night at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Notes:

Holiday Break: Tonight's contest was the Royals' final game before their eight-day holiday break. Victoria enters the break with a 17-11-2-0 record and sits in third place in the BC Division.

Staying out of the Box: Carson Miller's penalty 5:14 into the opening frame marked the first time the Royals had taken a single penalty against the Spokane Chiefs since the clubs' first meeting on October 12th. The in-game time between penalties was 129:47 minutes.

Series Recap: Tonight, marked the fourth and final regular season contest played between the Royals and the Chiefs this campaign. In the four contests, Victoria went 1-2-1-0 against Spokane.

Scoring Streak: With an assist in tonight's contest, Royals' forwards Gary Haden and Carson Miller each extended their point streaks. Haden is currently on a four-game point streak where he has recorded seven points (4g-3a), while Miller has recorded five points (3g-2a) in his past three contests.
