Forward Graig Mischler notched two assists in regulation, before tallying the game-winning goal in the shootout, to lead Reading over Northern Division rival Peoria, 4-3.

The Royals led 1-0 early in the second period on a power play goal by Judd Medak (1g). Their advantage was short-lived, however, as the Rivermen's Colin Hemingway (2g, 1a) picked up a short-handed marker on Reading's next man advantage, just 1:37 later.

With the home team trailing 2-1 after 40 minutes of play, defenseman Regan Rome (1g) buried a power play goal at the 6:16 mark, to even the score. Once again, Peoria responded, with Hemingway denting the twine on the powerplay, 58-seconds after Rome's goal. However, David Masse (1g) got the equalizer for the Royals, notching an even-strength goal with 9:50 remaining in regulation.

After a scoreless overtime, Reading (32-22-9) dominated the shootout. Cody Rudkowsky was flawless, stopping all four Rivermen (39-17-9) shooters he faced. He finished with 37 saves in regulation, including a second period penalty shot by Peoria's Trevor Baker. Rudkowsky now sports a 19-16-3 record this season.

In addition to Mischler's shootout goal, Kent Davyduke (2a) also buried his shootout opportunity. Furthermore, Mischler set up both of the Royals' powerplay goals, en-route to his team-leading 18th multiple-point game of the season. The Holbrook, New York native now leads the team with 41 assists and 53 points.

Reading's next contest is at Toledo on Wednesday, March 17th at 7:00 pm. All the action can be heard live via the Royals' web site, or locally on ESPN Radio 1240. The broadcast begins 25-minutes before the drop of the puck.
