Royals Sign Defenseman Dan Hickman

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that organization has signed defenseman Dan Hickman ["HICK man"]. This year, Hickman (5'9"/190) (23), who hails from Hamden, Connecticut, has registered three goals and five assists with the Indiana Ice Miners of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League. Hickman, who is in his third year of professional hockey, played his college hockey at Southern New Hampshire University. In a separate transaction, the Royals placed defenseman Rob LaLonde on the seven-day injured reserve.

The Royals return to action on Friday tonight (7:05 pm) when the Trenton Devils visit the Sovereign Center. That night the Royals will celebrate 'Lucky Season Number Seven' with 'Casino Night' and the first 2000 adults 21 years of age and older will receive a pack of Royals' playing cards courtesy of Coors Light and All-Star Distributing. The game night broadcast on Friday will begin at 6:35 pm with the pre-game warm-up show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Ephrata, as well as on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. Streaming video is available on a pay per view basis through the B2 Networks.
