Royals Invite Fans to Bask in the Glow of Hockey's Hallowed Hardware

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL and the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania, are proud to announce that the organization will host hockey's most prestigious trophy, the Stanley Cup, on Fan Appreciation Night, Saturday, March 31, 2012 (7:05 pm), when the Royals take on the Trenton Titans at the Sovereign Center. The organization extends a special thanks to V&M Towing for sponsoring the Stanley Cup's visit to Reading.

The presentation of the Cup will be part of night packed full of festivities and giveaways, which will include a team poster for the first 5000 fans in attendance courtesy of the Reading Eagle, as the Royals say thanks for all of the support this season from our most important asset, our fans. All fans in attendance will have an opportunity to win a wide of variety of items and prizes during each stoppage in play, and Season Ticket Holders will have a chance to win the "jersey off the back" of the Royals' players at the conclusion of the game.

Also, all fans in attendance on Fan Appreciation Night will have an opportunity to have their photograph taken with the Cup, which will be handled and presented by representatives from the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, Ontario. Please note that only ticketed patrons will be permitted on the Sovereign Center concourse to view, and/or have a photograph made with, the Cup. Please also note that fans desiring a photo with the Cup must provide their own camera.

The Royals return to action on Friday (March 9, 2012 @ 7:05 pm) when the Toledo Walleye visit the Sovereign Center for the final regular season match-up between the two teams. That night, the Royals and the Sovereign Center will host a 'Happy Hour' at the Corner Bar and Restaurant (6:00 pm - 7:30 pm). Friday's game night broadcast will start at 6:35 pm with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Pre-Game Warm-up Show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading.
