Royals Eric Castonguay Loaned to Bridgeport

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Eric Castonguay ["KAST awn gay"] has been loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL. Castonguay, a third year pro from Granby, Quebec, has registered ten points (4g-6a) in twelve games with the Royals this season. In his first game with the Sound Tigers this afternoon, Castonguay scored Bridgeport's second goal in the Sound Tigers' 3-0 win over the Norfolk Admirals and was chosen as the game's third star. Another Royal on loan to Bridgeport, Chris Blight, assisted on Castonguay's goal. Blight also scored an empty-netter (and played to a +3). Today's game was Castonguay's fifty-fourth in the AHL.

The Royals are off until Friday (December 3, 2010 @ 7:05) when the Elmira Jackals visit the Sovereign Center.
